Easy Homemade DIY face mask recipes

Whether your skin is breaking out, acting up or you just want to get your glow on, here are some recipes for you to try out.


For sensitive/Acne prone skin

1 tablespoon oats

1 teaspoon raw honey

1/2 teaspoon water

Oats has both antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that help calm dry skin and remove dead skin cells. Honey has antibacterial properties. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, smooth a thin layer over clean skin, and leave it on for about 10 minutes. Rinse off and moisturize.


For dull/Dry Skin

1 tablespoon Greek yogurt

1 teaspoon oats

1 teaspoon honey

Greek yoghurt contains lactic acid which softens your skin and probiotics which soothes inflammation. Mix ingredients in a bowl , leave it on clean skin for 10 to 15 minutes, and rinse it off with warm water.


For tired skin

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 tablespoons sugar

1 tablespoon olive oil

The sugar and lemon work together to exfoliate dead skin cells, while the olive oil hydrates your skin. Mix ingredients in a bowl , leave it on clean skin for 10 to 15 minutes.


Hydrating mask

1/2 Avocado.
1 tablespoon of honey.

Avocado will banish any roughness, leaving your skin silky smooth. Honey helps skin retain moisture without feeling oily. Mix and leave on for 15 minutes.


For uneven skin tone 

1 tablespoon of natural, plain yogurt.

1 tablespoon of honey.

1 tablespoon of turmeric powder.

Turmeric is useful for combating pigmentation. Mix all ingredients and apply on a clean face.
